Joe played high school ball for the 1998 MVC champion Haverhill Hillies. He then played junior college basketball for Northern Essex Community College. While there Joe was selected as a First Team Pre-Season All-American, was a two-time 1st Team All-Region, a two-time 1st team All-New England, finished his two-year career scoring over 1000 points, and was selected a 3rd Team All-American. A two-year captain, he was second in the country in scoring with a 26.7 point per game average. Joe has since been the President and co-owner of the MV Roadrunners. He is now an assistant coach at Bradford Christian Academy, the Director for Player Development for Lady Rivals middle school, and will be coaching with the MS futures teams. Joe has been coaching youth basketball in the Haverhill or Pentucket school districts since 2002. Joe is married to his wife Lindsey, and has 3 children Aliana, Jordan, and Brady.
